HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES IN THE WORKPLACE REFRESHER

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

All learners are required to bring a Safety Data Sheet from any chemical from their workplace during the competency-based assessment. We will cover  the knowledge and skill as per SDS sheet to handle, store and manage chemicals in the workplace and maintaining a hazardous substances inventory.

31292 Demonstrate knowledge of workplace procedures relating to hazardous substances

31290 Demonstrate knowledge of safe management and potential adverse effects of hazardous substances in the workplace

31293 Demonstrate safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances in the workplace

ENTRY CRITERIA:

 

Students that refresh the unit standards must hold the current unit standards or at least one of the units.

Numeracy and Literacy: All students must have the ability to write, speak and understand basic English to complete the assessments.

4 hours Face-to-face
