HEALTH AND SAFETY BOARD AND MANAGEMENT SEMINAR
COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course ensures that company owners, board members and management get an in-dept understanding of what their duties and responsibilities are in terms of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and associated Regulations.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES:

Gain understanding of the new HSWA 2015 vs the old HSE Act 1992
-
Cover relevant terminologies, such as PCBU, Officer, Worker, other people and notifiable events
-
Discuss levy workers for PPE, training under the Act
-
Discuss the meanings of reasonably practicable, Health and Safety Management systems and duties associated with other PCBUs (subcontractors)
-
Establish the duties under the Act for the PCBU, Officers and workers including the offences for each under the HSWA 2015
-
Overview of establishment and functions of the Health and Safety Representative, Work groups and Health and Safety committees within the Company

Duties associated with management of critical risks, hazardous substances, health monitoring, emergency plans and provision of First aid at Work under the General Risk and Workplace Management Regulations 2016

Reviewing some case studies and fines issued under the Act
