This course is designed to provide Health and safety Representatives with the knowledge and skill to understand the Legislation, responsibilities and duties to successfully address issues raised by workers and to manage health and safety issues in the workplace.

This is a two day combination course covering New Zealand Health and Safety Legislation PLUS the role and functions of the Health and Safety Representative. 

This Advanced course equip the Health and Safety Representatives from stage 1 , with the knowledge and skill to understand workplace accidents, perform a detailed accident investigation and be able to identify and manage risks to maintain a safe workplace and in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry good practice.

Students credited with this unit standard can identify and describe legislative rights and responsibilities for workplace health and safety; describe the systems approach to workplace health and safety; explain how risks and hazards are defined in the HSWA.

This webinar focuses on supervisors, managers, subcontractors and workers to understand the key compliance requirements in the organisation.
